
Jennifer was always aspired to become a multi-tasking celeb. As a child she discovered a wide range of musical genres, mainly Afro-Caribbean rhythms like salsa, merengue and bachata, and mainstream music such as pop, hip-hop and R&B. Though she was an avid admirer of music, she also had a fascination with the film industry is equally strong. West Side Story, a musical written by Rita Moreno (1961), was her most significant source of inspiration. At 5, Jennifer began taking singing and dancing lessons. Jennifer is also an entertainer , as well as a Catholic schoolgirl, attended for eight years at Holy Family Catholic elementary school in The Bronx. After a four-year stay, she graduated from Preston High School, an all-girls preparatory school. Jennifer was a skilled athlete, who played tennis and track in school, was an excellent student. When she was in Castle Hill, she spent her early years in a two-story home. As a teenager, Jennifer moved out of the home of her parents. Lopez started working for a legal firm throughout the day. She also took on dance positions at night.
