Contractor auditioned at the prestigious Stratford Shakespeare Festival in Ontario, Canada, for Pericles. After a full year, she was given the role of lead. The show she played in 92 performances earned praise from Canadian reviewers. The actress accepted an invitation to attend Stratford's conservatory. It is a place where only four men and eight women can take a 20 weeks crash course of classical theater. Her place was guaranteed during the upcoming play as she was offered the role for the role of Hermia A Midsummer Night's Dream.
